- Munich-based procurement software provider for the mid-market, Tacto, wins Thomas Dieringer as investor and advisor
- Thomas Dieringer brings over 20 years of experience in developing leading procurement platforms as founder of POOL4TOOL (acquired by JAGGAER) and former Managing Director of JAGGAER
- Tacto is a pioneer in SaaS procurement software specifically developed for the requirements of the industrial mid-market, enabling, for example, straightforward and mid-market-friendly implementation of supplier management and the Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG)
- Tacto aims to become the market leader in the European mid-market procurement software segment, working together with customers to digitalize procurement processes and create future-proof, sustainable supply chains
Munich, September 7, 2023 - Munich-based software startup Tacto has won Thomas Dieringer, founder of POOL4TOOL and former Managing Director of JAGGAER, as an investor and advisor. In addition to his advisory role, he is now also financially invested in the company:
"After extensive research of the European startup market in the procurement sector, I was fully convinced by Tacto's product and vision. I am pleased to support Tacto as an investor and advisor in building future-proof supply chains with my knowledge and experience. There are countless software tools for procurement, but Tacto convinced me with its clear focus on a previously underserved target group in procurement – the mid-market – as well as its outstanding team. From my experience, enterprises and mid-sized companies have fundamentally different requirements for software solutions in procurement. The SaaS solution is not only technologically up-to-date and specifically tailored to the mid-market but is also easy to implement without IT resources, which is an essential factor in the mid-market due to scarce IT resources. Processes are intelligently automated while data is prepared using AI so that companies can make better procurement decisions and achieve significant savings. Mid-sized companies also appreciate the fact that the software delivers best practices and thus indirectly know-how, making digitalization easier and faster to implement. With this unique market positioning, Tacto will become one of the leading procurement platforms."
Tacto CEO André Petry is also delighted about the collaboration: "With Thomas Dieringer, we have won a renowned procurement expert who supports us with his extensive experience in the development of our procurement software and in building future-proof supply chains, providing hands-on guidance to build the best product on the market for our customers. Furthermore, the investment underscores the outstanding performance of our team in recent years, as Thomas attributes the greatest potential to our product and positioning. This naturally motivates us even more."
In addition to Thomas Dieringer, successful digital entrepreneurs such as Hanno Renner (founder of Personio), Michael Wax (founder of Forto), Torsten Reil (founder of Helsing), and Johannes Reck (founder of GetYourGuide) are also backing Tacto and see great potential in the development of future-proof supply chains in the mid-market.
Tacto offers mid-sized companies a platform that creates room for strategic procurement topics. Tacto supports the mid-market in automating manual inquiry processes, AI-based procurement analytics, fulfilling the requirements of the Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG), and the strategic development and management of suppliers. All of this is integrated into one system ("One Face to the Supplier") to achieve the highest possible supplier acceptance. In 2022, the product was awarded the first-ever BME Procurement Excellence Award for SMEs together with customer Mobil Elektronik. Tacto's customer base has already more than doubled this year and includes leading companies from all relevant industries in the DACH manufacturing sector. Thomas Dieringer will also support Tacto with best practices in customer management. The additional capital will therefore continue to flow into expansion and further product development to create sustainable and future-proof supply chains in the mid-market together with customers.
