customer description
For almost 90 years, SCHWING Stetter has been a leader in the field of concrete and its processing. As the world's leading system house for concrete construction machinery, SCHWING Stetter offers the entire spectrum of ready-mix concrete technology — from production to transportation and introduction of concrete to recycling. In addition, SCHWING Stetter develops pumping systems for industry and the environment as a second mainstay. SCHWING Stetter is globally positioned with manufacturing sites in the USA, Brazil, India, Austria, Serbia and Germany and has experienced strong growth in recent years.

Without Tacto
Implementing the CBAM regulation presented SCHWING Stetter with new challenges, particularly regarding data availability, processes, and supplier communication. To properly fulfill reporting requirements, CBAM-relevant materials such as steel and aluminum had to be systematically identified, quantities calculated, and specific supplier data collected.
It quickly became clear that many suppliers had little knowledge of the new requirements—making information gathering even more difficult. Without digital support, the implementation effort would not only have been enormous, but could also have led to delays or incorrect reporting.
With Tacto
With Tacto's CBAM solution, SCHWING Stetter was able to digitize the entire implementation process. The platform automates the collection, classification, and processing of all relevant procurement data – including targeted supplier communication and training support.
Proven Impact
Fully automated mapping of CBAM processes based on existing procurement data through Tacto Intelligence.
90% time savings by eliminating manual evaluations.
High supplier adoption through integrated training programs.
"With Tacto's CBAM solution, we're saving the equivalent of one full-time employee and approximately $110,000 per year. We've found that our suppliers have very limited knowledge about CBAM when they receive our requests. There's little understanding of the requirements. This is where Tacto's supplier training becomes extremely valuable. It's what truly sets Tacto apart as a CBAM solution provider."

Outlook with Tacto
SCHWING Stetter plans to use the CBAM implementation as a blueprint for additional regulatory requirements. The company also intends to digitally manage supply chain due diligence obligations and ESG criteria with Tacto in the future—integrated into existing procurement processes and highly scalable for international growth.
